Mac Gibbons. Former touring musician and recording engineer turned web developer. After years of touring the country playing drums, I felt a need to stay in place and find a way to exercise my love of learning, and creatively solving problems, which lead me to the world of programming. I'm currently pursuing an education in full stack web development from Nashville Software School. I am team driven developer focusing on HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React with a backend focus of C# and .net.
Fern is a web application designed for forgetful plant enthusiasts as a way to catalog their plants and corresponding care information. As a plant lover, I often lose the care cards included with plants or flat out forget what type of plant I own. Fern solves this problem by allowing the users to store the information included on a plant's care instruction card, which room a given plant is in, and the frequency of watering. The dashboard view shows the user what plants need to be watered today and gives them the option to mark a plant as being watered.
Bloom is a social web application designed for users to share and rate coffee recipes. Bloom features a server side API built out in C# and ASP.NET with a React frontend.
